Spring is one of my favorite times per year to make tablescapes for. I love all of the pastel flowers and fresh greenery you can use to liven up your table. And of course, DIY crafts that take your table display to the next level.
This list is full of ways to use items you already own, can find in nature, or can thrift to create beautiful centerpieces, table runners, and table settings.
I love a full maximalist look to the tablescapes I create but the downside is that they can get pricey quickly! DIY projects and upcycling can help you achieve the table you want without having to spend a fortune!
There are plenty of Easter eggs, bunny ears, and spring florals spread throughout this list to ensure your table perfectly fits the Easter holiday theme!

Simple Easter Tablescape Ideas
Let’s start with which theme you want to go with!
It’s helpful to choose an overall color palette that you want to have for your table so that it looks cohesive.
1. Classic pastel spring decor
Pastel, for Easter? Shocking I know, but it had to be included in this Easter tablescapes round-up.
It’s classic for a reason. The light hues match the spring florals that blossom and it is so easy to mix in rustic elements like wooden utensils, wicker baskets, and thrifted glasses to give your table a farmhouse or cozy feel.
Pastels are great as well because you don’t need to stick to a specific color scheme. You can mix in pastel blue, green, yellow, purple, and pink and it will all look cohesive.
Whether you want a monochrome pastel look or you want to mix things up, you really can’t go wrong with a light color palette for Easter!
2. Blue and white Easter tablescape
If you’re not a fan of the pinks and purples that spring brings, keep it cool with blue and white (or cream). You still get that pastel feel without it turning into pink overload.
Use white as your base for things like tablecloths and napkins but mix in pops of blue when it comes to table runners, glasses, and decor.
If you want your Easter brunch food to be more of a focus than the decor, a blue and white color scheme will be a perfect backdrop.
3. Earthy and warm Easter table setting
Mix things up and go with warm earthy tones instead! Sometimes it is nice to have a classic look to your tablescape, especially with holidays. But there is nothing wrong with going your own way!
The warm colors are a great reminder that spring brings warmth as the ice and snow of winter melt away.
Include deep reds, mustard yellows, earthy browns, and cream to create a unique tablescape that nods to the warm days ahead!
4. Easter Bunny napkin holders
Use the napkins you already have to create these adorable bunny ear napkin holders!
To make these all you need is a cloth napkin, a piece of twine (or ribbon), and an egg. You can use a painted egg with each guest’s name painted on it so they know where their table setting is. Or you can use a fake egg and place an after-brunch treat inside or a small party favor!
How to make bunny ear napkins:
Fold your napkin in half and create a small cradle for your egg. Bring the two sides of the napkin up and tie a bow a few inches from the bottom so your egg has a place to sit. Don’t forget to fluff out the bunny ears!
5. Embroidered cloth table runner or kraft paper runner
Embroidered tablecloths have always been around but they are getting a resurgence in popularity!
You don’t have to be an expert seamstress to make them either. Use a tablecloth you already own or pick one up from the thrift store. You can use a pencil (or chalk) to draw on your designs.
Some cute (and easy!) Easter designs would be:
- Easter eggs
- Bunny outline
- Baby chick
- Guests names
- Spring flowers
- Carrots
- Lambs and sheep

6. DIY Easter egg candle holders
Use the shells of easter eggs to create your very own Easter egg candle holders.
All you need to do is start by thoroughly washing out your eggshells. It’s ok if the shells are a little ragged around the edges.
Pour candle wax inside the shells and that’s it! Super simple but adds a cozy feel to your table, is cheap, and is perfectly in theme.
Don’t forget to put a candle wick and a few drops of essential oils if you want to include a light scent to your Easter brunch!

7. Bunny ears and bows on the backs of chairs
Use cardboard and white cloth to create adorable bunny ears to add to the back of each chair.
All you need to do is cut out the bunny ears in the cardboard and stretch the white cloth around the ears. You can use fabric paint to add in the pink portion of the ears.
You could even add a white little pom pom to the back of the chair so that when guests sit down it looks like they have a bunny tail!
If you don’t want to do all of that, a simple fabric bow on the back of each chair is equally as adorable.
8. Easter eggs on spring blooms as a centerpiece
Head outside and get some clippings of spring blooms! They don’t have to have flowers, even just the buds are perfect as they act as notches to hold your egg display.
Use paper eggs that are nice and light and hot glue a ribbon on them. Then decorate them to fit the style of your other table decor!
Place your spring blooms or branches in a vase of water and then hang your decorated egg ornaments on your table centerpiece. It could even be a cute Easter brunch activity to have an egg ornament at each table setting and every guest can decorate an egg to add to the tree!
9. Easter-themed charcuterie or treat board to bring all different colors to your table decor
Don’t play with your food unless it comes to charcuterie boards!
Use whatever cutting board or grazing board you already own but then add adorable Easter-themed treats to them. This will bring color, variety, and flavor to your Easter tablescape!
Here are some items you can add to your decorative Easter charcuterie board:
- Chocolate bunnies
- Jelly beans, Cadbury eggs
- Pastel macarons
- Carrot cake bites
- Easter lollipops in fun shapes
- Crispy treats in Easter shapes (use a cookie cutter!)
- Chocolate dipped strawberries
- Edible flowers (pansies, violets, honeysuckle, cherry blossoms, Nasturtiums, orange blossoms, lavender & lilac)
- Fruit! Berries, melon balls (cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon etc.)
- Mini nests made from shredded coconuts or pretzels + candy eggs
- Speckled eggs
*Thrift pastel-colored bowls or Easter figurines to add to the board as well.
10. Easter letterboard sign or a chalkboard sign
You can never go wrong with adding a letterboard to your holiday table display. I love that they add a funny or cheerful message to the space and are reusable for all your Easter brunches to come!
- Hoppiness is homemade
- Egg-stra special day with family and friends
- Every bunny welcome
- Chillin’ with my peeps
- Eggcellent vibes only
- Hop into a season of hope and love
- Love is the real Easter treat
- Bloom where you are planted
The cheesier the quote the better! Anything to bring a smile or a smirk to your loved ones’ faces.
Here’s an adorable pastel pink letterboard or pastel letterboard letters you can use on the board you already have!
11. Easter candy sprinkled across your Easter brunch table
It can be easy to get caught up trying to design larger eye-catching decor pieces for your table but don’t forget the small details as well.
Fill in gaps on your table with simple pastel-colored chocolates. Scatter them around the table so it doubles as decor and a treat!
12. DIY pastel-colored clay bead napkin rings
Pick up some air-dried clay to make adorable clay beads to wrap around your napkin rings.
Clay beads are incredibly easy to make. All you need is some air-dried clay, Modge Podge, and a ribbon.
- Roll the clay into small balls. Poke a hole in the middle of the bead. Make sure it’s large enough for the ribbon to fit through but small enough that the clay doesn’t crack. Let them dry for about two days.
- Paint them pastel colors (using acrylic paint) and let them dry for a few hours.
- Paint Modge Podge on the beads to protect the paint and to give them a glossy look.
- Once the beads are completely dry, string your ribbon through them and tie the remaining ribbon into a bow.
You can add a name tag onto the bow as well before putting your beaded napkin ring on your napkins!
13. Wicker baskets to hold an Easter floral arrangement for the center of the table
Sometimes the simple decor is the best! Use wicker baskets you already own or head to the thrift store to pick up some baskets.
Fill them with glass vases and create a stunning bouquet with spring florals. Spring=florals so this is practically a must for your Easter tablescape.
Plain glasses or upcycled jars are always great but adding a basket around them gives a garden/rustic feel!
14. Fresh greenery
If you are hosting outdoors and don’t want to sprinkle your table with bug-attracting candy, go with fresh greenery!
It is nice to have a background color to calm down all of the bright pastels you are adding to your table.
I love adding fresh Eucalyptus around the table since it adds a light and refreshing scent to the space.
15. Upcycle thrifted Easter decor (ceramic bunnies, flower-shaped place cards, colorful eggs etc.)
Head to the thrift store to pick up some classic Easter decorations! Add your own spin to them by painting them, adding bows, or covering them in glitter.
Maybe you even have some old Easter decor at home that is kind of out of date. With a bit of creativity, you can bring new life to your decor!
The thrift store (or yard sale, antique store, flea market etc. !) is also a great place to pick up extra Easter-themed dishware, serving bowls, and utensils.
16. Paper flowers, bunnies, and Easter eggs across the table
Pick up some pastel-colored paper to cut out simple Easter-shaped designs.
If you aren’t confident in your drawing abilities simply go into Canva and find the designs you want, print them off on pastel paper, and cut the shapes out! No need to be a pro drawer!
These can make great name cards or you can string them together to make a simple banner across the table!
17. Spring terrarium as table decor
Skip the classic florals for your Easter centerpiece and go with a DIY terrarium.
Here are some items you can add to it:
- Base layer: Pebbles, potting soil, or moss
- Plants: Succulents, ferns, air plants, spring flowers
- Decorative elements: Mini easter eggs, bunny figurines, butterflies, driftwood, mini logs, lichen, twigs etc.
If you are playing any games at your Easter brunch, this could be a fun prize that the winner could take home.
18. Moss table runner
An alternative to a single terrarium display is to create a runner to spread all of your decor on. This makes your table look even more abundant!
Here are some items you can place along your moss table runner:
- Staggered nests with decorated eggs The nests can be made out of mini grapevine wreaths!
- Fairy lights or egg string lights
- Seasonal produce (cabbage, carrots, radishes)
- Vases of long carrots
- Mini terracotta plant pots with fresh herbs
19. Mini bouquets with spring flowers to mimic a meadow on your Easter dinner table
A simple hack to make your tablescape appear more full is to separate decor elements.
Instead of one large bouquet, use smaller vases around the table and only add a few flowers to each vase.
This is also a great way to save money since you aren’t buying one big perfectly designed bouquet. You can mix and match the wildflowers that you forage or spring flowers that you buy.
* Try to go for locally sourced fresh flowers over faux flowers if possible!
20. Classic painted Easter egg display
It can’t be an Easter decorations post without painted Easter eggs!
A simple bowl of decorated eggs is a simple and budget-friendly decor idea for Easter that never goes out of style. Switch things up this year by dying your eggs with natural dye from food scraps.
Here’s a quick guide to dying Easter eggs with food scraps:
- Onion skins= Brown or red
- Red cabbage= Blue or teal
- Beet scraps= Pink or reddish
- Tumeric= Bright yellow
- Coffee grounds= brown
- Spinach or Kale stems= soft green
- Blueberries= Purple or grayish-blue
- Avocado pits and skins= soft pink or dusty rose
- Carrot tops or orange peels= pale yellow or orange
- Black tea leaves= light tan
21. Mini Easter baskets as party favors
Don’t forget party favors! Create mini Easter baskets for each guest to take home with them. If you add a mini sign on them with their name it doubles as a name card for their table setting.
It’s pretty easy to find items to put in a kids Easter basket so here are some ideas to fill adult easter baskets.
Easter basket party favors for adults ideas:
- Gourmet chocolates (chocolate-covered fruit or nuts-yum!)
- Tea or coffee samplers (herbal teas like lavender tea, Jasmine tea, chamomile tea)
- Spring-scented candles (cherry blossom, rose, orange blossom, etc.)
- Easter themed self care items (bath bombs, face masks, hand creams etc.)
- Gift cards
- Easter candy, it’s a must (;
