How to organize the space under the kitchen sink

1. How to organize cleaning supplies under the sink

We’ll get into more specific organization hacks later but one of the most important tips is to stack storage containers.

This will ensure you make the best use of the tiny storage space under your kitchen sink.

2. Under kitchen sink pull-out storage

Clear containers will be your best friend when organizing the low cabinets that are hard to see. You don’t even need a lot of drawers to make it work either!

These stackable pull out drawers are the perfect way to keep smaller items grouped together.

3. Hooks for cleaning tools and drying cleaning gloves on the back of the cabinet door

Use every inch you can-including the doors of your cabinets. A few hooks can go a long way to hold various cleaning tools.

They’re also a great way to air dry your cleaning gloves so they don’t get musty.

4. Upcycle bottles and food containers to store smaller items

Kitchen organizers can get expensive quickly!

To cut costs, hold onto bottles and food containers to store items. Try to use glass or plastic since they are see-through and can help you to clearly see your cleaning products.

5. Reusable products to save space and money

Use reusable items like dish brushes and cloths rather than sponges and paper towels.

Using disposable items means you have to store backups which can quickly clutter up your kitchen.

To save space and money, use reusable items that you can wash to reuse.

6. Door organizers for extra storage inside of the cabinet doors

Another option for your cabinet doors is to add these storage bins that easily attach to the door.

This option holds a bit more than a hook if you have a larger amount of products to organize.

7. Storage shelf rather than small organizers

If you don’t want to play Tetris with a bunch of clear containers, just pick up a mini shelving unit that fits perfectly in your cabinet area.

8. Tension rod for spray bottles

If you prefer to separate your cleaning products, you can use a tension rod to maximize the space above your smaller organizers.

Tension rods are a great place to hang cleaning bottles and tools. This ensures they don’t spill all over your cabinets as well.

9. Label everything so you don’t have to rummage through products

Whether you use a label maker or a simple piece of tape, make sure to label all of your containers!

This is especially helpful if you want your roommates or family to understand your storage system setup. That way everyone can help to keep it tidy (;

10. Large storage bins for a simple storage solution

There are so many kitchen organizers to choose from and it can kind of be overwhelming.

Keep things simple by using a couple of large bins to hold your cleaning supplies.

Use one for everyday items and the other for backstock.

11. Cleaning caddy for daily cleaning

I suggest that if you use the system above to have a mini cleaning caddy for everyday cleaning tools like multi-surface spray, a scrub brush, and dishwasher tabs.

That way when you need to clean you can simply pull out your caddy and go!

12. Kitchen organizers specific to your pet peeves

If you can’t stand your garbage bags getting unrolled then you will be obsessed with this bamboo trash bag organizer with storage in the back for cleaning supplies.

Or maybe items spilling over is your pet peeve and the tension rod will be your favorite find.

Either way, customize your storage space to whatever works best for your kitchen even if it is hyper-specific.
