This post is all about the cutest DIY Valentine’s Table Decorations for your upcoming Valentine’s Day Party.
Whether you’re planning a fun Galentine’s party, festive brunch, or cozy dinner party these DIY Valentine’s table decorations are a must for your party planning list.
There are so many different ways to show our love and a brilliant way is through crafting! Each of the table decor ideas on this list are homemade, Valentine’s themed and budget-friendly.
Personally, I would rather spend my extra money on incredible Valentine’s party food or a meaningful Valentine’s gift so I rounded up these cheap decor ideas if you feel the same!
Easy DIY Valentines Table Decorations
1. Conversation heart centerpiece
Get the conversation started around your Valentine’s table with this gorgeous centerpiece.
All you need is a vase, conversation heart candies, roses (or any other flower), and a bow!
You can even use a smaller vase inside to fill it with water to keep your flowers fresh. Then fill the surrounding gap with candy!
2. Paper hearts and branches
Head out to your backyard or local park to collect some thin branches or twigs.
Cut out hearts from pink, red, and white paper and attach them to your branches with hot glue, twine, or tape.
This makes a great centerpiece because it can be as tall and grand as you want but uses minimal supplies!
3. Heart garland runner
Instead of hanging up your garland, lay it across your cloth table runner for a pop of color.
Cut out plenty of paper hearts. Cut two holes in the top and string them together with a piece of ribbon.
This is a simple Valentine’s craft but it adds a bit of variety to your Valentine’s tablescape.
4. Hand-painted taper candles
Pick up some pink, white, or red taper candles to paint with Valentine’s themed images or messages.
You can add hearts, xo’s, kisses etc. to make your very own candles!

5. Felt heart layered table runner
Use felt (or construction paper) to cut large hearts. Try to keep them the same size so the arrangement looks uniform.
Layer them across your table and then add your other table decor on top!
6. XO table runner using kraft paper
This table runner is absolutely stunning and best of all it is super easy to recreate. All you need is kraft paper which comes in various colors.
Then use paint to write xo’s all across it! The brush strokes give it a vintage vibe or you can use stencils for a more modern look.
7. Unique candy letter spread
Skip the classic candy bowls and use letter containers that double as decor.
You can easily recreate these with cardboard and a hot glue gun!
8. Pink, red, and white taper candle centerpiece
This is probably the most advanced DIY project on this list only because you will need to use a drill.
But the results are jaw-dropping and it can be reused for various holidays. Drill holes into a piece of wood (or two so it’s more sturdy) to hold taper candles.

9. Heart backdrop behind your table
Paper hearts are a major theme in this list because they are budget-friendly, can be reused, and look incredible when you cut up a lot of them and display them in a creative way.
Aside from just decorating your table, add a backdrop to a wall near your table to tie the room together.
Just use regular tape to secure them to your wall!
10. DIY Valentine’s cards at each table setting
I know Valentine’s Day can be a bit cheesy but I do love that it is the one time per year that we are encouraged to shower our loved ones with love.
Because of that, I think adding a personalized Valentine’s card at each table setting is a special touch and will mean a lot to your guests!
11. Simple bows on glasses, candles & utensils
Add bows everywhere and to everything!
They’re a sweet, dainty touch that brings in a pop of color and goes perfectly with a girly Galentine’s celebration.
12. Mini bouquets with thrifted glasses
Head to the thrift store or use vases you already own to create mini bouquets all around your Valentine’s table.
One big bouquet is classic but adding in mini bouquets adds a fullness to your table and they also double as the perfect party favor!

13. Love letter napkin
Table decorating is truly about the details. Rather than wrapping silverware up in a red napkin, make it extra special by creating a heart napkin or a love letter napkin.
Here is a super simple tutorial for making the napkin above!
14. Rose party favors as decor
Send your gal pals home with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers! Even a few roses wrapped in paper or cloth look incredible.
Keeping them together in a vase also doubles as table decor and then you can surprise your guests at the end of the brunch or dinner party! Don’t forget to write their name on them with romantic handwriting!
